The Aloe vera is originally from the Middle East and parts of North Africa. The plant is widely known for its medicinal properties, and its history goes back as far as ancient Greece. During the Middle Ages it was a must-have for every first aid box. Aloe vera was used as a laxative and as a medicine for wounds. Even today the plant is used as an ingredient in medicine and cosmetics. Note: this Aloe vera is grown as an ornamental plant, and therefore not suitable for use for consumption or for cosmetic purposes. But that doesn’t mean it can’t be useful in your home. Aloe vera is an air-purifying houseplant: it filters all kinds of harmful substances from the air. The plant is fairly easy to care for. Aloe is a succulent, and stores water in its leaves. This allows the plant to survive without water for quite some time. Place the plant in a light spot or in the sun.
The soft grey pot included with the Aloe vera is of our own design. It is made from the natural material cement. The pot combines perfectly with this houseplant, and forms a stylish addition to your interior.
Let the potting soil dry before watering it.
Place the plant in a light or mildly sunny spot.
