BUY HOUSEPLANTS THAT THRIVE IN THE SUN
Many house plants don’t do great in direct sunlight. If they’re in such a spot for an extended period of time, yellow or brown spots will appear on the leaves. Fortunately, there are a number of houseplants that do well in the sun.
THE BEST SUNNY SPOTS IN THE HOUSE
Indoor plants that you can place in sunlight are perfect to brighten up window(sill)s. Imagine, for example, several smaller plants in a row, or plants hanging from ceiling. Do you prefer a larger houseplant to place in sunlight? You could place it on a cupboard or stool in front of the window.
HOW TO CARE FOR INDOOR PLANTS IN DIRECT SUNLIGHT
Keep in mind that the sun should shine on your plant from all sides. With lots of sun and light, the plant will grow faster. If the sunlight always shines on the plant from the same side, there is a chance that the plant will grow crooked. Therefore we recommend turning the pot every now and then.
If the temperature is very high and / or the sun is quite burning, we recommend you shield the room a bit. By closing the curtain or window blinds, for example. This way, the indoor temperature remains a lot cooler. Better for the plant and – if you’re not a fan of heat – for you!
TO WATER
Although all houseplants listed above do well in a sunny place, the water requirements differ slightly. How often you have to water your houseplant is always stated in the description on our website. You will also receive all plant care information on paper, along with your order.
Remember that plants in a sunny spot require more water than similar plants in a light or shady spot. Cacti and succulents, for example, can often be placed in a sunny, light or shady spot. Should you have multiple cacti or succulents, water those in the sun more often.
DELIVERED TO YOUR DOORSTEP
It doesn't get much easier: all our house plants include a stylish pot, and are delivered to your doorstep. When placing your order, you decide on which day you want to receive it. Your houseplant is carefully packed and delivered. All you need to do is unwrap your new green roomie, and pick a nice spot in the sunlight for it!
